D'Piazza
Mall is a shopping mall in Bayan Baru, Penang. Developer by X-Scan
Penang Sdn Bhd, it is bordered by Jalan Mahsuri to the north and
Persiaran Mahsuri to the west. Its neighbours include Mayang Mall to
the east and Hotel Seri Malaysia to the south. Also with the same
area is the D'Piazza Condominium.
The D'Piazza Mall obtained its certificate of occupancy (O.C.) in
March 2009. Since then, most of the outlets facing the main roads
have been occupied, giving is a "happening" exterior. However the
inside appears quite dead, as the majority of the units there still
remain vacant (as of February, 2013), leading many to wonder whether
the mall is ready for occupancy.
I hate to have to state the obvious, but D'Piazza needs a major
anchor tenant to attract more shoppers.
Getting there
Rapid Penang bus 302, 303, 304, 305, 307, 308, 309 and 401E pass
along the stretch of Jalan Mahsuri in front of D'Piazza Mall.
