nickname for Damansara Utama opposite Tropicana City Mall.
Although Damansara Utama do not have any shopping malls, there are
several other shopping complexes that are located in areas nearby
such as Tropicana City Mall, 1 Utama, The Curve, IKEA and Ikano
Power Centre. There are many established businesses nestled within
the shop-offices here. Almost all bank branches can be found here
including Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB Bank, Bank Rakyat, Bank
Simpanan Nasional, AmBank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered, HSBC and
UOB Bank.
Restaurants and cafes in
the area include Old Town Kopitiam, Pappa Rich Kopitiam, McDonald’s,
Killeney Kopitiam, Subway, Vicchuda Thai Restaurant and Secret
Recipe to name a few. There are also 3 7-Eleven outlets and one KK
Mart convenience store.
There is a multi-storey
car park besides Damansara Uptown 1 tower. There are also three open
car park areas located at the centre of this commercial centre.
Adding to that, there is a famous food court nestled within the car
park complex called Uptown Hawkers.
This food court hosts
aplenty of cuisines ranging from local traditional dishes such as
satay and nasi lemak, to western dishes including mouth-watering
grilled lamb chop and chicken chop.
Damansara Utama enjoys great accessibility via major arterial roads
including New Klang Valley Expressway, Damansara - Puchong Highway
and Sprint Highway. The nearest LRT station is Taman Bahagia RapidKL
LRT Station which is about 7 minutes away. It is strategically
located approximately 5 minutes driving to TTDI, Bandar Utama and
Tropicana. It is about 15 minutes drive to Subang Jaya, Damansara
Heights and Bangsar.
