Analysis
Taman Inderawasih is a quiet neighbourhood and although there are
crimes reported but they are not happening at an alarming rate.
There are however more serious problems to attend to, as Taman
Inderawasih is situated just next to the river, flooding around
several areas such as the rows of shop lots located along Jalan
Kikik has become a constant issue for many of the tenants and
patrons as flashflood problems has been a headache for most patrons
and tenants for over 10 years now.
This problem occurred as the drains in that area would often
overflow especially during heavy downpour. However, this problem
would soon be solved as the state’s Drainage and Irrigation
Department has allocated RM500,000 budget to increase a 3KM long
bund along the river.
