Leisure Commerce Square is located in an area that is popular and
well-known. While the building may be a bit old, but occupancy is
high and rental available mainly in Block C. There is an open air
carpark was made available to cater to the high demand and traffic
in and out of the area. This is on top of the covered parking within
the building. Even with that provision, traffic is heavy most times
of the day, as it is only a one-way through road right in front of
Leisure Commerce Square.
Many cars cut through Jalan PJS 8/9 from the Pantai Baru Highway in
front of Sunway Pyramid. Along with cars from Mentari Court and the
surrounding shop offices, congestion is especially bad during peak
hours. Rental though, is affordable at RM1.19 psf as an office unit
about the size of 1,200 sf is only RM1,428. And depending on whether
there are facilities attached to the unit, example car park rental,
maintenance fees are a standard RM0.60 psf.
Leisure Commerce Square was also once host to major tenant, Taylor’s
College who has since moved on to their new campus. A hot nightspot
with bars and restaurants the Commerce square was not only a
day-office but night hang-out. Since the college has moved and
tenants of the nearby apartments seem to be more popular for housing
foreigners, even the clubs have moved out.
As an office address, the area is still a strategic landmark,
affordable and conducive. There is a cafeteria that caters to the
office block, but neighboring restaurants in the nearby Mentari
Business Park has plenty to offer as well.
