For education, there are many schools nearby. The popular Chinese
school, namely SJKC Chee Wen and Segi College are located in USJ 1.
Besides that, USJ 1 is surrounded by many well-known private

USJ 1 is one of the largest enclaves in USJ. It comprises several
neighbourhoods which consists of super-link terraces, semi-detached
houses, bungalows and high-rise condominiums. Some of the areas are
light industrial areas such as Taman Subang Mewah and Subang
Industrial Park. There are also a few low-cost apartments nearby the
industrial areas. Some of the 2-storey terraces are priced at a
bargain because they are badly maintained. Future investors and
homeowners who are interested in USJ 1 should be aware that most of
the developments are leasehold.
Due to poor accessibility, USJ 1 is always busy especially during
peak hours causing a major gridlock of traffic which usually occurs
at the junction of Persiaran Subang Permai and Persiaran Kewajipan.
During rush hour, it usually takes about 30 minutes to exit the
vicinity along a 1 km distance road. There are also plans to reduce
the traffic problems with the proposed road linking USJ 1 to KESAS
Highway. Currently, there is an LRT extension and BRT development
due to be completed in 2015. Hopefully, this would eventually reduce
traffic congestion in the future.
