Ant Real Estate Agency is a registered estate
agency located at Kuantan, Pahang. The agency has a strong presence
in Kuantan with a team of professionally
qualified and licensed negotiators, each having an extensive knowledge
of the major residential and commercial areas of Kuantan and surrounding districts.
Kuantan
Kuantan is one of the largest cities in Malaysia, located within
the state of Pahang. In stark contrast with its cousins Cameron
Highlands and Genting Highlands which are famous for their cool
weather and are also located within Pahang, this city is famous for
its clean, white beaches and it clean, clear seawaters. This city is
located approximately 3 hours away from Kuala Lumpur and is home to
the local airport Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport.
Properties in Kuantan come in all shapes and sizes, as well as price
ranges. Houses in the older developments are extremely affordable as
a low cost 1,655 sf single storey terrace house only costs RM85,000
while the numerous houses for auction start selling at prices as low
as RM49,000.
Meanwhile, the newer developments in Kuantan all costs a minimum of
RM295,000 for studio apartments of 405 sf and a minimum of RM320,000
for a 700 sf unit. Landed properties take a price hike by half, as a
decently new and well maintained double storey terrace house of
2,200 sf costs at least RM500,000. Any of the bigger and more
luxurious homes all start selling at a minimum of RM800,000 for
bungalows sized at a minimum of 5,116 sf.
Kuantan is a highly independent and self sufficient city that hovers
between the laid-back village lifestyle within the outskirts and the
hectic lifestyle of a city dweller within the city limits. Amongst
their shopping malls are the major East Coast Mall, Berjaya Megamall
and Kuantan Parade which hosts a variety of branded outlets, cinemas
and supermarkets. Also available are the everyday necessities such
as a wide variety of schools, banking facilities and medical
institutions.
The major tourist attractions of Kuantan are their beaches which
face the South China Sea with the most visited and most talked about
beach being Teluk Chempedak. However, frequent visitors and locals
find this beach overpopulated especially during peak seasons and
would rather pay to stay at hotels that have their own private
beaches. The turtle sanctuary also has a steep number of visitors
especially during the breeding season.
The local food in Kuantan are extremely delicious, especially during
tea time where visitors can stop by at any of the quaint little
wooden shops and get a number of local munchies (kuih) that are
freshly made on the spot, and frequently has an extremely long
waiting line, while sipping on the 3 layer tea which is a local
delight.
Surfers will enjoy the high waves off the South China Sea during the
monsoon season between the months of November and March. However, it
is rather unfortunate that this beautiful state experienced floods
for the last few years during the monsoon season. In some areas, the
water even reached the rooftop. Residents would have to leave their
belongings and relocate to community centres and higher grounds.
Kuantan is an extremely easy city to get to via driving as it is
connected to Kuala Lumpur by the East Coast Expressway and the Karak
Highway. For a much shorter travelling time, visitors may opt to
take a plane, as all of Malaysia's domestic planes fly to Kuantan;
otherwise the most budget effective way would be to take a public or
private bus from Kuala Lumpur.
