Analysis
Many people have chosen to stay in Section 19 of Petaling Jaya due
to its conveniences and easy accessibility to many amenities nearby.
However, it has its share of community issues such as a 2-storey
terrace house that has been abandoned for 6 months has posed as a
problem to its neighbors.
The owner of the abandoned terrace unit renovated the lot last year
but the project was then abandoned leaving the gutters not
completed. Hence, this caused water to gush into its neighboring
lots and ruined some electrical appliances, it has also became a
breeding ground for mosquitoes. The neighbors then sought help from
the MCA.
However, property values in Section 19 are expected to raise with
new developments such SSTwo Mall which has just started operation
earlier in 2011. Apart from that, with universities such as KDU and
UTAR within close proximity, rental yields do look promising enough.
